Eclectic, maximalist and daring; Christian Louboutin’s essence oozes throughout each space and passage of our intimate and welcoming boutique hotel in Melides. Over a dozen winters in Alentejo became an inspiration for Louboutin, who designed this 5-star hotel that celebrates Portuguese tradition and know-how, whilst reflecting the French designer’s cultural passion, curiosity, and welcoming character. A home away from home, now open for the world to discover.

As we stroll through the village of Melides, Alentejo, we are inevitably drawn to its rural charm; the cobbled streets, the rustic cottages with their blue façades, the local market in the heart of the village where farmers and fishermen sell the produce of their land… It is here, in the region where Christian Louboutin found a source of inspiration, that Vermelho comes to life, blending into its surroundings and honouring Portuguese tradition. The Vermelho hotel blends perfectly with the peaceful setting of the village of Melides.
